At Norman Regional Health System, our commitment to caring for the community goes far beyond the walls of our hospital and clinics. In 2025, community partnerships and employees reached thousands of residents across Norman, Moore, and surrounding areas — delivering vital services, donations, and support when it was needed most.
Here’s a look at how Norman Regional served our community in 2025, by the numbers.
EMSSTAT Community Support: 194,200 Persons Served
When medical emergencies strike, every second counts. Norman Regional EMSSTAT paramedics provided rapid emergency and critical care services across Norman and Moore, serving 194,200 residents in 2025. From responding to urgent health crises to coordinating critical care transport, EMSSTAT ensures patients receive the exact level of care they need, when they need it most.
Beyond emergency response, EMSSTAT actively supports public safety through HAZMAT, SWAT, and disaster readiness partnerships and special event coverage for University of Oklahoma home football games, the Norman Music Festival and other events.
Home Run Van Transports: 935 Persons Served
Norman Regional’s Home Run Van provides free transportation for qualifying patients, helping them safely travel between facilities or return home. By offering this service at no cost, we remove transportation as a barrier to care and ensure patients don’t have to pay for ambulance rides when they need to be taken to another Norman Regional facility for ongoing medical services. In 2025, 935 patients benefited from this program, receiving safe, reliable rides that support their continued health and independence.
Food and Shelter for Friends: 22,325 Meals
Hunger and housing insecurity are critical challenges in our community, and Norman Regional is proud to partner with Food and Shelter to help address them. In 2025, 22,325 meals were donated to neighbors facing these challenges, providing not only nourishment but also a sense of stability, support, and hope. Through this partnership, we help ensure that every person has the chance to meet their basic needs while connecting with a supportive community.
Meals on Wheels: 59,782 Meals
Our commitment to community extends into our own kitchens. Norman Regional prepared and donated 59,782 meals through Meals on Wheels, bringing nourishment and care directly to residents who might otherwise struggle to access healthy food. These meals do more than fill stomachs; they allow individuals to maintain independence, health, and quality of life.
Mary Abbott Children’s House Lab Donations: 872 Children Helped
Norman Regional is proud to support Mary Abbott Children’s House by providing lab services for 872 children receiving medical assessments related to suspected abuse. By supporting these essential evaluations, we help ensure children are treated with care, dignity, and safety while receiving the protection and services they need.
City of Norman Paratransit Partnership: 2,371 Persons Served
Reliable transportation is vital for accessing healthcare, and our partnership with the City of Norman and EMBARK Plus paratransit services helped 2,371 residents in 2025. This shared-ride program provides safe and accessible transportation for individuals with medically documented physical or cognitive disabilities.
Looking Ahead to 2026
At Norman Regional, these numbers are more than statistics — they represent people’s lives touched, crises averted, and communities strengthened. As we look toward 2026, we remain dedicated to continuing these efforts, deepening our partnerships, and finding new ways to serve our community.
