What is Pulmonary Function Testing?
Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) provides accurate, non-invasive lung function
testing to aid in the diagnosis, treatment and management of respiratory diseases.
Complete Pulmonary Function Testing includes:
- Bronchodilator response test

Diffusing Capacity of the Lungs for Carbon Monoxide (DLCO)
- Lung volume measurement

Methacholine challenge test
- Tests for airway reactivity
- Six minute walk test (if available)

Spirometry test
- Pre- and post-bronchodilator
PFT results are interpreted by qualified pulmonary healthcare clinicians. This testing allows us to diagnose sooner, treat smarter and get you breathing better.

You could also receive PFT for pre-operative pulmonary evaluation.
Pulmonary Function Testing Referrals
Your physician or practitioner should send your referral to the Norman Regional Pulmonary Function Laboratory with your patient demographics, insurance information, relevant clinical notes, and the reason for referral.
