GI of Norman and West Norman Endoscopy are now the Norman Regional Digestive Health Center

GI of Norman and West Norman Endoscopy are now the Norman Regional Digestive Health Center

Patients receiving digestive health care in Norman will see a new name, but the same trusted team will continue providing high-quality, expert care.

Effective September 28, GI of Norman and West Norman Endoscopy will go by the name Norman Regional Digestive Health Center.

This name change reflects the continued growth and collaboration of digestive health services within Norman Regional Health System. “By bringing GI of Norman, West Norman Endoscopy, and colorectal surgery services together under one name and one location, patients will have a clearer understanding of the comprehensive digestive care available through one coordinated team,” said Administrative Director Donna Avila, MBA, BSN, RN.

While the name is changing, the things that matter most are staying the same.

Patients will continue seeing the same physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses and support staff in the same location. Appointments, referrals, medical records and services will continue without interruption.

“We are excited about this next chapter and the opportunity to provide an even more connected experience for our patients,” Avila said. . “This change brings together the trusted care teams patients already know while making it easier to understand the full range of digestive health services available in one location.”

As the center transitions to the new name, patients may see Norman Regional Digestive Health Center appear on appointment reminders, billing statements, signage, our website and other communications. During this transition period, you may also see references to “Formerly GI of Norman” or “formerly West Norman Endoscopy” to help ensure a smooth transition.

There is nothing patients need to do. Existing appointments, referrals and care plans will continue as planned.
